Reached by a 1.5 mile hike along the National Trail, Hidden Valley in South Mountain Park is a sheltered basin filled with saguaro cacti and large boulders.
Dixie Mountain Loop Trail is a 4.7 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Phoenix, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

If you are visiting Phoenix don't miss the views from South Mountain Park. If you don't mind driving on a narrow mountain road this is absolutely worth the drive. The only real choice is whether to go up for day viewing or night viewing as both are spectacular. This park is basically the same park I remembered from the 60's and 70's.
Great hike in the middle of Phoenix. Just off of 7st, you can get a great workout by taking the natural terrain or the asphalt path. We love going here and using our bungee cords and weighted vests. Join us next time!
A trail allows visitors to hike to the top of Pinnacle Peak & those with experience may rock climb. Very beautiful scenary and demographics. This is a great place to go and soon after grab a fiesta meal and beer at the VIG McDowell Mountain Ranch.
